I'm looking at a job that pays 50-55 dollars per recorded hour of audio. Help anyone.ĭoesn't it just seem wrong when you can hear the neighboring doctor's dictation better than you can YOUR dictator? Do they just hand the phone across the way and say "would you hold this for me?". Problem with audio downloading on Bayscribe. Has anyone heard of pay at 0.16 per audio minute for medical transcription? They told me I could make at least $10 an hour or more at this rate. so how long do you think it would take to complete 90 minutes of two people interview and is $45 too low for that type of work? just asking. They said most transcriptionists complete one 60 to 90 minute tape per day. In contacting a general transcription company for work, I was told "a one-on-one interview, 60 - 90 minute tapes, generally generates $40-$45 per tape."ĭoes this seem like a low figure? I don't know much about these types of dictations. Give us a BREAK MQ, please I want to work.!!!!. I can get audio on anything else, just not DQS. Thought it was the headphones MQ sent us as a gift last year, so changed to my Bose stereo headphones. Here it is Sun/Mon and I am getting DQS to load jobs, but can get NO AUDIO on them at all.
I haven't had this problem for a long time, but the audio is taking a long time to load today. Maybe my hearing is just not what it should be. Are all dictations this bad, or is it just some of them? The parts I could understand were fairly simple, but the audio sounded like a tape recorder when you are holding down rewind and play at the same time. I am a "newbie." I have tested for 2 small companies and the audio was so bad I just couldn't hear enough to transcribe.

Does anyone have experience in this or know of a preferably free software program that can do this? Thank you. Does anyone know of software that he or I can use to convert it to an audio file? I normally use Express Scribe to transcribe their work. One of my clients has a DVD of a meeting he would like transcribed.
I appreciate anyone who might be willing to point me in the right direction. where the wifi signal might not be strong enough for me to be able to do my job. I'm interested in anyone who does this and, specifically, I'm looking for a good wifi booster to use in places like RV parks, camp grounds, etc. I bought myself a laptop recently in order to be able to work away from home every now and then. What is troubling me, is the first time I used it, I had my computer control volume settings where I wanted them (sound, wave, etc.) and any adjusting I did in my platform volume control was separate (so any added volume was additional), or at least that is the way it appeared it was working. I like that I can plug up to 3 headphones in it (as I use a couple different ones for different types of dictation). I just bought a Boostaroo sound booster last weekend. Is there a volume booster somewhere on Bayscribe besides the obvious up and down button on the audio player that I'm overlooking? I have all the settings up to maximum on my computer as well as having the audio player volume all the way up to no avail. I don't think it's an issue with my computer, as my other platforms have volumes that are just fine. I always seem to have issues with being able to get the audio up to a comfortable volume on the Bayscribe platform. Ĭan anyone recommend a good quality sound booster to increase volume and clarity through the headset? I just want to get an idea what everyone is using. At my new hospital, I have three docs who apparently are afraid of anyone hearing what they say, including the one typing the report. I wanted to find out what were some of the better audio boosters? I've had long-term positions and never needed one before.
